Over the years, the Clyde Williams Band closed out the Friday Night Jamboree at the Floyd Country Store nearly every weekend. In later years, the band finished the final set on the last Friday of each month.
Illness took Williams and the band off the stage for most of the past year but he prevailed and both return this Friday night in a rollicking return of old-time music and good, old-fashioned dancing and singing.
The Clyde Williams Band follows the Black Twig Pickers and Sue Nester & Friends. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. for the gospel hour, the Black Twig Pickers at 7:30 p.m. and the Williams Band at 9 p.m.
Folk-rockers Mercy Creek add to the music on Locust Street at Dogtown Roadhouse.
On Saturday, the First Annual Ignite Floyd concert put music on the stage at Lineberry Park, starting at 4 p.m., sponsored by the Floyd County Fire Department Station One.
Proceeds form the show benefit the department and help purchase gear for the first responders.
