When rain turns into snow, look out!

Raining a lot this year.  More rain in today’s forecast and for the coming days, including some hard, pounding storms possible.

Does this mean even more problems as the temperatures fall and rain turns into snow?

Yes, it could.

The National Several Storms Laboratory of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says an inch of rain can be around 13 inches of snow.

That’s right.  An inch of liquid means a foot or more of white stuff.

Most of the folks who offer long-range predictions of this year’s expect winter say we’re in for a long, cold and storm winter.

You like snow?  You might want to keep quiet about it this year.  Saying so could require a good dental insurance plan.
