
On a cold Friday night under a bright moon, Floyd County High School’s football Buffaloes ended their season at home with a 27-7 defeat to Auburn, which ended a losing streak against Floyd that dated back to 1990.
The loss puts the Buffs at one and four in district play and two and eight for the year.
Floyd managed its one touchdown in the third quarter after trailing 20-0 to the Eagles at the half.
In Volleyball news, the Conference champ Buffs open regional play at home Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Appomattox.
