Jason Harris & Friends at Wildwood

When Jason Harris & Friends take the stage, the audience is never quite sure if it will hear a traditional Bluegrass song or a country version of John Fogerty and Creedance Clearwater Revival’s “Lodi” or the late, great Johnny Horton’s “North to Alaska” (written by Mike Phillips) or another tune that one doesn’t often get in such circles.

Harris adds such tunes to his playlist with just the right country touch. One might also hear Bob Segar’s “Turn the Page” in the mix as well.

Harris brought his friends to Wildwood Farms General Store Saturday night.  One of those friends was also popular local banjo picker Barry Sheridan Collins, who is often a “friend” to many groups who pay in and around the area.

Wildwood’s Saturday night offerings, a free concert with music and dancing is yet another tradition in Floyd County’s heritage of down home music and good entertainment.
