Floyd County High School’s Junior Varsity basketball teams took on Martinsville Monday night at home.
The Lady Buffs took the lead from the start and built on it throughout a hard, tough game, ending with a 58-35 final while cold wind and spitting snow kept the crowd down in the high school gymnasium.
The boys went the other way, spotting Martinville 25 points before scoring the first time with 2:28 minutes to go in the first half. The boys added four more unanswered points before Martinsville ticked in another four to lead at the half 29-6.
