Locust Honey brings their music to Floyd.

Ah, Spring must be coming. A capacity crowd jammed into the Floyd Country Store Saturday night for the Floyd Radio Show with music by a comely group called Locust Honey, a surprise appearance by former area musician Chance McCoy, who is now in Nashville with Old Crow Medicine Show, and Rural Retreat’s Jim Lloyd joining Elizabeth LaPrelle and the cast of regulars for music and skits.

McCoy and a fellow musician dropped by the Radio Show before their gig at Downtown Roadhouse on Saturday.

With even warmer weather on the forecast for Sunday and an even nicer Monday on tap, the outlook — for the moment at least — seems good.

Let’s keep hoping.
