Motorcyclists gathered in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas this weekend for the annual Blue Ridge Bike Fest and many riders showed their support for wounded veterans and their families with the Freedom Ride on Saturday.
The ride, a motorcycle poker run, began at Roanoke Valley Harley Davidson Saturday morning as bikes overflowed the dealer’s parking facilities and left on a run that covered more than 100 miles of Southwestern Virginia.
The run ended at the Berglund Civic Center in Roanoke, location of the three-day bike fest that ends Sunday afternoon.
Proceeds went to Nation of Patriots.
