For the second time in this 2009-2010 winter of extremes, snow has canceled Floyd’s famous Friday Night Jamboree.

Floyd Country Store officials pulled the plug early Friday as a weather front that threatens to dump 6-8 inches or more on Southwestern Virginia approached from the Southwest.

The Dec. 18 storm that left up to two feet of snow in the area also forced a rare cancellation of the Jamboree.
