Day three and our mystery bird is still in our back yard. We will don't know what brought an African Fish Eagle to our property or what keeps it here but its presence has brought email and phone calls from bird experts, speculation by longtime birdwatchers and a pleasant surprise when I get up in the morning.

As far was we can tell, the proud bird spends the night in our back yard and then spends the day on the prowl. It returns sometime after dark.
The bonus comes when I can get up, look outside my window and take the best photo of the day, all before the first cup of coffee in the morning.
