Moonlight brightens up the pre-dawn hours Monday. Scientists tell us the full moon over the weekend was the brightest of the year and with the reflective powers of the Friday and Saturday snow storm the light of the moon added to the night.
Melting should begin today with temperatures forecast above freezing. Floyd County Schools closed today and area roads remain slick from overnight freezing. Rain expected on Tuesday, along with temperatures in the high 30s, should help speed the melting along with 40-degree plus days on Wednesday and Thursday.
