This is the weekend between the end of FloydFest and the beginning of the Galax Old Time Fiddler’s Convention that will being next week and end sometime between next Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
In the meantime, we have music, arts and more to enjoy for the weekend.
Floyd’s Artisan Market runs from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Community Market Pavilion at 205 South Locust Street.
The Friday Night Jamboree kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the Country Store at 206 South Locust and all along the street with musicians and fans on what is forecast to be a pleasant and dry evening. The Reese Family Gospel opens the Gospel Hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by County Connection at 7:30 p.m. and 2 Young 2 Old at 9:00 p.m.
Woodbury Restaurant and Bar offers Karaoke Friday at 8:00 p.m. at 182 Woodbury Road just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
And Dogtown Roadhouse has Ragtop at 8:05 p.m. at 302 South Locust Street.
Saturday brings the Floyd Farmers Market at the Community Pavilion at 205 South Locust Street from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Market at the Mountain offers its products at the Harvest Moon Parking Lot at 227 North Locust Street from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“By Ear and By Heart – Floyd Music Heritage Exhibit is at Old Church Gallery at 110 Wilson Street in Floyd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Americana Afternoon starts at noon at The Floyd Country Store at 206 South Locust Street with Danville songwriter Bruce Scism, followed by Bluegrass country due Robert Lester & James Stiltner at 1:15 p.m. and Pulaski country singer and songwriter Clovis Draper at 2:30 p.m.
Oak Grover Pavilion features Awesome Sauce at 365 Needmore Lane at 7:00 p.m.
Common Ground offers live Bluegrass at Wildwood Farms General Store at 7:00 p.m. at 2380 Floyd Highway.
Dogtown Roadhouse has The Ordinary at 302 South Locust Street at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday rounds out the weekend with Sunday Sounds at Chateau Morrisette from 1:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. at 286 Winery Road SW just off Rock Ridge Road near the Parkway.
The Floyd Country Store has both Old Time Music and Bluegrass jams starting at 1:30 p.m. and running until 6:00 p.m. at 206 South Locust.
Wildwood Farms General Store offers a music jam from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Dogtown Roadhouse has Open Mic at 7:00 p.m. at 302 South Locust.
