The bitter cold did not prevent sledders from taking advantage of the snowfall in Floyd County over the weekend. This lone sledder (above) was spotted along Virginia Route 8 south of Floyd and the duo topping a hill were found further down a road near the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Even sub-zero temperatures could not keep people indoors and many ventured out to sample the county’s first serious snowfall of the season. With schools closed today, more may sample Mother Nature’s offerings.
