Friday the 13th kicks off the weekend

Yes, it’s Friday the 13th as we head into this weekend of November in and around Floyd County.

Watch out for black cats, don’t walk under ladders and avoid all superstitions.  Even so, there’s plenty to do for the weekend.

Stock car racing legend and Floyd County native Curtis Turner will be celebrated Saturday at the EcoVillage at 11:00 AM.  Some Beasts, a movie featuring Floyd County will be shown at the Lyric Theater in Blacksburg at 3:00 PM on Saturday too.
