Caught one of my favorite local bands, The Java Brothers, at Americana Afternoon in The Floyd Country Store Saturday afternoon.

The photos here are actually sill captures from video shot during their performance.

Fiddle player Ralph Berrier Jr. is also a newsman for The Roanoke Times, my employer back in the dark ages of 1965-69 and we talk occasionally about newspapers but more about the traditional music culture of Southwestern Virginia.

Good music and a good time.
