Double header of Buffalo wins over Giles

Both the boys and girls varsity basketball Buffaloes dispatched the Giles Spartans before a close to full house in the Floyd County High School gym for Senior Night on Thursday.

The Lady Buffs took the lead from the start, topping Giles 14-7 at the end of thirst quarter, 38-13 in the second,, 60-23 in the third and rounding out the night with a 75-29 win.

Ragan Wiseman scored 20 points to lead the night, Ashley Gallimore 15 and Natalie Boothe 11 to pace the win.

In the boys match, swapped the lead a couple of times at the opening of the game before leading the Spartans 20-11 in the first quarter, 36-27 at the half and then opened up in the third quarter to lead 58-39 at the end of the third.  The Spartans outscored the Bufflaloes 20-10 in the fourth quarter but the winning margin was still 68-59.

Michael Osborne led scoring with 19 points, Quentin Lackey had 18 and Jared Spence 15 to pace the win.
