A familiar name from Floyd County High School winning basketball is one of the senior students featured at The First Friday Art Reception of the Floyd Artists Association Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 203 South Locust Street (The Station on South Locust).

Mary Ragan Wiseman’s art is featured along with the works of Hannah Stoupe and Laken Quesenberry in the show that will hang for the month of March.

Ragan Wiseman holds the scoring record for the Lady Buffaloes basketball team that plays at James Madison University in Harrisonburg at noon Saturday for a state tournament quarterfinal match against Buffalo Gap.  A win there sends the team to Richmond on Thursday of next week to a state semi-final rematch against Ridgeview at 5:30 p.m. in the Seigel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.
