
Alumni of Floyd County High School takes to basketball court this Saturday for a full day of games and activities.
Joshua’s Hoops for Hope kicked off at 10 a.m. with first to third graders playing, followed by fourth to six graders at 11:30 a.m.
Alumni women play at 1:00 p.m., followed by “20th Century alumni men at 3 p.m. and the event is capped at 5:00 p.m. with alumni men from Class of 2000 and forward at 5:00 p.m.
It is also Easter weekend.
With Spring now fully underway in the area, weekend activities are heating up.
The Friday Night Jamboree kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at the Floyd Country Store at 6:30 p.m. at 206 South Locust Street with Bill & Maggie, followed by The Clyde Williams Band at 7:30 p.m. and The New River Bound Band at 9.
Dogtown Roadhouse has Ball & Chain at 8:00 p.m. at 3012 South Locust Street.
On Saturday, Americana Afternoon at the Country Store has The Matchseller at noon, Mason Via at 1:15 p.m. and Max D’Amico at 2:30.
Wildwood Farms General Store features Hubert Lawson & The Bluegrass Country Boys from 7-9 p.m. at 2380 Floyd Highway South.
Dori Freeman and Kat Mills hit the stage of the Floyd Country Store at 7:30 p.m. at 206 South Locust Street.
The Mad Iguanas play at Dogtown Roadhouse at 8:00 p.m. 302 South Locust.
Sunday Music Jam at The Floyd County Store starts at 1:30 p.m. with Old Time Music and then Bluegrass at 4:00 p.m.
Open Mic kicks off at 6:00 p.m. at Dogtown Roadhouse.
