A blustery soccer time in Floyd

Blustery cold winds hampered soccer at Floyd County High School Thursday night, and a storm forced a 30-minute delay at one point, but the storm the Buffaloes faced with more threats came from the James River Nights, which won both boys and girls matches.

The Buffaloes boys team went into the second period with a 4-0 deficit but stormed back with three goals to bring it within one before the Knights added an insurance score to finish the match 5-3.

Daniel Policarpo scored two of Floyd’s goals and Walker Grenoble added the third.  Javiar Garcia has seven saves.

Lady Buffs scored two goals but the Lady Knights struck with nine in a rout.  Katherine Enggard and Mandy Greenman put one each into the nefts for the Ladies and Emirly Dorathy racked up 15 saves.

The game leaves the Lady Buffs 3-2 in the season so far while the Buffs are 2-4.
