The assignment for this weekend was photos for The Floyd Press, which means concentration on capturing still images of The Chantilly Farms Bluegrass & BBQ Festival for the next edition of the newspaper that provides much of my living nowadays.
It didn’t mean much time to shoot video of the event. In the past I have used multiple cameras and a good sound system to capture and music and visuals of the event.
This time around, however, I had my one Canon C100 cinema camera and a single Zoom recorder to use to capture some of the action. I focused mostly on the younger groups who, I felt, give us lots of hope for preservation of the music that defines our area.
Here’s what I produced for the 6th annual festival. I may have another one in the clips. Time will tell.
