It’s the Fourth of July Weekend

The start of the second month of an already-busy summer.  Let the good times roll.

With good weather in the forecast, Floyd can expect music and fun in the street from late afternoon to late in the evening.

Floyd Artists Association hosts First Friday at their gallery in the Station on South Locust, 203 S. Locust St. from 5 to 8 p.m.

Even more art at the Floyd Artisan Market under the Community Market Pavilion, 205 S. Locust St. from 5 to 9 p.m.

The Friday Night Jamboree kicks off on stage at The Floyd Country Store, 206 S. Locust St. with Janet Turner & Friends at 6:30 p.m., followed by music and dancing with The Friday Night Old Time Band at 7:30.

The Plate Scrapers take center stage at Dogtown Roadhouse at 8 p.m. at 302 S. Locust.

Saturday, July 2

Floyd Farmers Market:  9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. under the Community Pavilion at 205 S. Locust St.

American Afternoon at The Floyd Country Store kicks off at noon with its 6th Year Anniversary Show starting with David Simpkins & The KGB, followed by Big Mama Joy at 1 :15 p,m,, Greg Trafidlo & David Cannaday at 2:30 and The Old Fashions at 3:30.

The Fat Catz appear at Dogtown Roadhouse, starting at 6 p.m.

Jason Harris & Friends take the stage at 7 p.m. at Wildwood Farms General Store, 2380 Floyd Hwy S.

The White Top Mountain Band appears at The Floyd Country Store from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30.

Sunday, July 3

Brunch at Riverstone Farm: 708 Thompson Rd.  Noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday Music Jam: Floyd Country Store. 1:30 – 6 p.m.

Music Jam: Wildwood Farm, 2380 S. Floyd Hway. 2 – 4:30 p.m.

Open Mic: Downtown Roadhouse. 6 – 10 p.m.

Monday, July 4

Floyd County 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks at Floyd County High School: 5:30 to 10 p.m.
