Homecoming football Friday night

Buffalo boosters show their colors.
If Friday's weather forecasts can be believed -- and accepting any weather prognostication as fact requires an incredible leap of faith -- the outlook for precipitation is zero. It dawned cool -- down in the 50s, according to the thermometer on our back porch -- and will warm up through the afternoon before it cools down for the night. Perfect weather for football and football tops the schedule for this Friday night with Floyd County High School's Varsity Buffaloes squaring off against Grayson County for the 2016 homecoming.

Wait, Floyd now has two homecomings during the season — one for football and the other for basketball — so this is the first of two.

So bring a jacket and join alumni to cheer the 3-1 Buffs for the next game of the start of what appears to be a good year.
