Enjoy the pleasant weather…while we can

Looks like a dry 24 hours for this Wednesday and then only a 10 percent chance of rain on Thursday. Friday is an 8o percent chance of the wet stuff, which creates chances for a wet Friday night for the return of high school football in Floyd after a bye week for the Buffaloes. Then 70 percent chance of "light rain" on Saturday and a sunny outlook for Sunday. This, of course, is subject to change because of the approach of Hurricane Matthew, which wreaked heavy damage to Haiti and is boring down on Cuba and then Florida.

Looks like a dry 24 hours for this Wednesday and then only a 10 percent chance of rain on Thursday.

Friday is an 8o percent chance of the wet stuff, which creates chances for a wet Friday night for the return of high school football in Floyd after a bye week for the Buffaloes.

Then 70 percent chance of “light rain” on Saturday and a sunny outlook for Sunday.

This, of course, is subject to change because of the approach of Hurricane Matthew, which wreaked heavy damage to Haiti and is boring down on Cuba and then Florida.  The massive storm is then expected to slide up the Georgia and Carolina coasts.  A shift either Eastward or Westward could mean changes in the outlook for Virginia and those of us in the Southwestern portion of the Old Dominion.

Time to watch…and wait.
