Brilliant sky last night. Perfect night for star photography. On long time exposures, the stars rotate around Polaris, tne North Star. On a good, high, hilltop you can get a good angle to catch the star trails.
The exposures were each more than two hours in length. Both were shot with different Canon EOS Mark II digital SLRs on tripods weighted down to prevent movement and different settings. You don’t have time for bracketing exposures with such long time shots. Fortunately, the wind stayed calm long enough for good exposures.
You can’t help but look at such bright, starlit nights and feel good about the world around you.
