December 1, 2016 — Beginning of the last month of an interesting year as well as the first weekend of the month in and around Floyd County.
This weekend features a basketball match-up between the Floyd County Lady Buffaloes and Magna Vista at starting at 5:30 p.m. with the junior varsity and 7:00 p.m. for the varsity in the high school gym.
Motorcycle riders may have to brave wet weather Sunday for the annual Toys for Tots ride in Roanoke. Those who wish to participate and contribute should start to gather at the Lowe’s parking lot in Salem at 11:30 a.m. The ride begins at 1.
The Floyd Radio Show features writer/reporter/musician Ralph Berrier, Jr., as host, starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at The Floyd Country Store.
