On Saturday morning, we awoke to three inches of powdery snow on the ground but sun and wind wiped all evidence of that snowfall away by early afternoon.
Sunday morning brings cold, crisp temperatures and the starkness of a winter day. The forecast talks of a chance of “wintry mix” but nothing is falling as I take my morning walk through the woods near out home.
In March the weather is ever-changing. Cold one day, warm the next. Snow one day, clear skies the next. Rain, sleet, hail, thunderstorms and blustery winds: All are part of March in the mountains.
Soon it will be Spring. For some, soon is not soon enough.
