The first Saturday of February means The Floyd Radio Show on the stage of The Floyd Country Stage as one of the featured events of the opening of the month.

It also means winter homecoming at Floyd County High School with the crowning of a new queen during the Buffaloes basketball matchup against Glenvar in the FCHS gym Friday evening.

The game is also the last regular home game of the season for the Buffaloes so it also be seniors night for the boys team.
