Yes, Virginia, that was thunder that rattled the windows Saturday night. A good, old-fashioned Spring thunderstorm. Not all that much lightning but some good, ground-rumbling thunder and rain. Another good sign of the approaching Spring.
We stumbled across another sign at the annual New River Valley Homebuilders Association Home Expo at Christiansburg Recreation Center on Saturday — rows upon rows of booths and displays from contractors, landscapers, woodcrafters, etc. Picked up some ideas for doors, patios and decks although we already had a good idea of what we want for the house. When the rain started hitting the windows on the way home we didn’t mind. It was rain. Not snow. Not sleet. Not a “wintry mix.” Just rain.
