A tribute to the music of Carole King is part of a varied weekend for Floyd County as the area heads into the last weekend of April and next weekend kicks off May.
The Country Store has offered various musical tributes to stars of music in recent years, including Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Gordon Lightfoot and Saturday’s concert honoring King is hosted by the Souvenirs (David Cannaday, Dave Fason and Rusty May) along with guests Seph & TK, Carrie Hinkley, Maggie Blankenship and Alex Young. The fun kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
Warm drier weather should bring music to the streets of Floyd Friday night and the Friday Night Jamboree offers Bill & Maggie for the gospel hour and the Mountain Park Old Time band for the two later shows.
