FloydFest 2017 arrives this week, bringing music fans from around the world to this corner of Southwestern Virginia.

With campers arriving in force Wednesday and music beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Mad Iguana on the Pink Floyd Garden Stage, the festival kicks off five days of music and activities.

Weather for the five days looks partly cloudy with little chance of rain on Wednesday, increasing chance of precipitation with AM showers Thursday, scattered showers on Friday, then cloudy Saturday and PM showers Sunday.

With temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s, it won’t be as hot as the past few weeks so it could be a comfortable festival.

Let the fun begin. It’s FloydFest week.
