Is Summer winding down?
Good question. Floyd County Public Schools open on Thursday, August 10, of next week. Athletic practices have already begun.
But wait. The Galax Old Time Fiddler’s Convention kicks off Sunday when the campgrounds open and continues through next week with the finale next Saturday.
The Mother of all Flea Market comes in less than a month with the Hillsville Flea Market and Gun Show.
And Yoga Jam helps wrap up the end of August.
It’s still a month left of August, the last full month of summer. First Friday is this weekend. Music is in the air. Weather forecasts look pretty good.
Enjoy.
