Lingering hazardous conditions and other weather-related problems brought postponement of Friday night’s basketball homecoming this weekend, along with cancellations classes in Floyd County schools.
Other changes may come on musical events at The Country Store, Dogtown Pizza and Wildwood Farms.
Lingering conditions from the snowstorm that hit the area Wednesday and kept schools closed Wednesday and Thursday could affect scheduled events and those planning to attend events should check with the venues to make sure they are still on.
Girls basketball (JV and Varsity), scheduled for Thursday night against Alleghany County were also postponed
Warmer conditions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday should melt most of the snow but low overnight temperatures could create hazardous spots on area roads.
