Floyd County High School’s basketball Buffaloes ran into into the hyper-aggressive Dan River Wildcats Tuesday and ended their season with a 65-36 rout.

The Buffaloes led briefly in the first quarter, 2-0 and then 4-2 but that Dan River’s swarming defense, steals and some help from friendly referees put the game away early for the Wildcats.

The boys traveled further into the regionals this year.

Meanwhile, at home, the Lady Buffs creamed Fort Chiswell 92-58 at home and will face top-seeded Martinsville Thursday night on the road for the regional semifinals.
