Warm Saturday but one with an overnight low of 35, then a cooler Sunday but the National Weather Service office in Blacksburg says next week will being highs in the 70s and the 80s with little chance of rain.
Of course, we must realize that the outlooks are forecasts, which are subject to change.
However, the temperature on our back porch is 48 and the sun is out. Not a bad start for a Saturday.
While the weekend requires needed attention to the grass that is now growing in our yard and a driveway that needs more attention from the plow blade on our tractor, I plan to climb on one of our motorcycles and head down to Roanoke for the Saturday coffee and donuts and enjoy the sun and weather.
Maybe this weekend (or perhaps the next) should include finding a bikini motorcycle bike wash somewhere. Now that’s a good way to get one’s bike clean.
Sunday brings cooler weather (56 high, 37 low) but warmer on Monday (66 high, 45 low) and then a Spring heat wave of 77 on Tuesday, 79 on Wednesday and 81 for Thursday and Friday before dropping back into the high 60s for next weekend.
Rain is not in the forecast until Tuesday, April 8 and then a wet stretch that could include some thunder showers.
Not bad for May.
