Music in the Park returns to The Warren G. Lineberry Park in downtown Floyd Saturday with the first Ignite musicals Saturday evening and bicyclists hit the road first thing Saturday morning at Chantilly Farm on Franklin Pike — just part weekend events in and around the area.
Floyd County Volunteer Fire Department Station 1 brings Morgan Wade & the Stepbrothers to Lineberry Park Saturday night after Jessica Morris and Jake Sparks open the concert at 6 .m. on the pavilion stage. The music moves inside Dogtown at 10.
Tour de Floyd kicks off at 8:30 p.m. and will ride 62 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway before returning to Chantilly Farm.
Things could get wet with thunderstorms forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
