A great day Sunday for motorcycle riding.

Headed down Woolwine Mountain on Rte. 8 to U.S. 58 outside of Stuart, then East on 58 to Martinsville to U.S. 220 and a short hop down to Ridgeway for breakfast at Clarences with like-minded riders of the Roanoke Valley Harley Owners Group (RVHOG), then down into North Carolina to High Point for a visit to Riding High Harley Davidson before heading next to Smoking Harley in Winston Salem.

As the group headed back to Roanoke, I hopped over to North Carolina Route 8 to head north past Hanging Rock State Park and through the twists and turns up to the Virginia State Line and on up to Stuart and back up Woolwine Mountain, past Tuggles Gap and on in to Floyd, arriving back home shortly after 4 p.m.

Gorgeous weather, good roads and a great time while putting a couple of hundred miles on a 2009 Harley Super Glide that already has more than 100,000 miles on the odometer.
