With one week to go before Labor Day weekend, a varied collection of activities appear in and around Floyd.

Forecasts from the National Weather Service office in Blacksburg predict sunny weather with temperatures in the 80s for Thursday and Friday, partly cloudy Saturday and Sunday with little chance of rain with lows in the 60s.

This should mean good conditions for music on Locust Street, The Friday Night Jamboree, the Artisan Market and more.

Area favorite The Whitetop Mountain Band takes the stage Saturday night at The Floyd Country and there’s bluegrass on stage at Wildwood General Store.

This and more for a good weekend.
