Giles beats Lady Buffaloes in district volleyball Thursday

It took four sets for the Giles Spartans to come out on top of Floyd County’s Lady Buffaloes in Three Rivers District Volleyball in the FCHS gym before a large crowd.

Giles won the first match 27-25, coming back after the Buffaloes were just one point from wrapping up the game, then Floyd won 27-25 but Giles won the third match 25-15 and the fourth 25-21.

Haylee Dalton of the Buffs had 14 kills, Kenzee Dalton 24 assists and Madi Ramsey 21 digs.  Floyd is now 3-3 in district and 9-3 overall.  Giles is 5-2 in district play and 11-2 overall.

JV Lady Buffs came from behind in the second set of their match with the Spartans to win while the Middle School Floyd team lost in three sets.
