Full moon last night and if you needed a good example of full moon madness all you needed to do was watch NASCAR’s Nextel All-Star Race in Charlotte.
Cars spun, metal crumpled and tempers boiled as the roundy-roundy boys mixed it up in a non-points race that paid our $1 million plus to eventual winner Mark Martin (who is retiring at the end of the year). But a big wreck left drivers Kevin Harvick and Joe Nemechek pointing angry fingers at each other when, in fact, the incident was started by someone else.
“This shows how smart we all are,” said driver Michael Waltrip of the event’s big wreck that took out nine cars. “We’re running 180 mph out there. We could get hurt!”
