Floyd County High School’s Lady Buffaloes varsity basketball team, Class 2 Regional champions after beating Martinsville Monday night at Ridgeway, faces Ridgeview High at Auburn High School in Riner Friday at 6:30 p.m. for Class 2 State quarterfinals.

The winner of that came goes into the state semi-finals at a place determined by Friday’s winner and that winner goes to Richmond on Saturday, March 9 at 4:30 p.m. for the state championship.

If Floyd wins Friday, the Lady Buffs will face the either Martinsville (again) or Central-Wise the semi-final.

The Floyd team has been in the state final-four many times over recent years as well as state champions.

Riner is just a short hop over the Floyd-Montgomery County line so let ‘s see a good crowd Friday’s important match.
