Old fishing saying claims that when the rain falls, the fish bite and it seemed way Saturday with the annual Kids Fishing Day sponsored by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department on Little River along Thunderstruck Road Saturday morning.

The threat of severe thunderstorms threatened the event and while the rain fell briskly from time to time, the kids (and parents) got a chance to get in some food fishing and fun.
