Floyd County High School’s varsity Buffaloes football squad gave coach Winfred Beale his 225th win Friday night in Low Moor with a 49-14 rout over the Allegheny Mountaineers.

Buffalo quarterback Avery Chaffin tossed two touchdown passes and ran for a third, Braden Chaffin caught a TD pass and ran for another and Kaleb Fenton took a fumble by Allegheny in for a score.

Floyd took the lead with in the first quarter while Allegheny picked up just two from a safety, added 21 more points in the second and led 28-2 at the half.  The Buffaloes added another 21 points in the third while the Mountaineers scored only 6.  Allegheny added another six in the fourth.

The win gives the Buffaloes a 4-3 overall record and are 2-1 in the district.

Floyd faces Glenvar at home next Friday.
