The banjo wizardry of Sammy Shelor takes over the stage of The Floyd County Store Saturday with Springfield Exit as a highlight of this October weekend in and around Floyd County.
Lots of other music as well, with the Friday Night Jamboree, Cover Dawg at Buffalo Mountain Brewery and the Thrillbillyz at Dogtown on Friday.
Saturday features the Wildwood Farms Old Timey Fest while the Floyd Country Store features Banjos and Burritos: A Brunch and Old Time Jam preceding the Americana Afternoon and Jared Stout Saturday night at Dogtown.
Plus the Artisan Market on Friday evening, Farmers Market on Saturday, jam sessions and much, much more.
For high school athletic fans, Floyd’s JV and Varsity volleyball squads put their winning records on the line Thursday night in the FCHS gym against Allegheny and the Football Varsity Buffaloes face Glenvar at the Floyd home field.
