Volleyball: Lady Buffaloes rout James River

The Lady Buffaloes know how to celebrate a point!
After honoring four Floyd County High School seniors on their squad, the Lady Buffaloes stampeded James River in straight sets for the last home game of this regular season.
A spike from Haylee Dalton (No. 8) was too hot to handle James River.

After honoring four seniors of the varsity volleyball Floyd County High School Lady Buffaloes, the team sent James Rivers Lady Knights home licking their wounds after a straight-set loss at Floyd’s home court Thursday night (35-18. 29-27,25-21).

Jaycee Dalton had 15 kills, Haylee Dalton added 10 more and Madi Ramey recorded 21 digs in the Lady Buffaloes victory in the last regular-season home game of the season.  Floyd’s record of 18-3 overall and 10-2 district could bring at least one playoff game to Floyd when the schedule is announced.

The JV Lady Buffs got a scare from the Knights but came out on top of the tie-breaker game to score a 2-1 win.  The JV has suffered only one loss so far this season.  The teams close out the regular season on the road against Radford next Tuesday.
