It took five games but Floyd County High School’s Lady Buffaloes volleyball squad beat the Giles Spartans Thursday night in Narrows to take their second win in the Region 2C playoffs.

Girls won the first game 25-21 but came back to take the second match 25-22 and the third 25-19 but Giles tied up the score with a 25-23. The Lady Buffs came back again with a 15-12 win.

Senior Dalton Hayless Dalton reached 1,000 kills for her high school career and had 27 for this game, along with 26 digs. Jaycee Dalton had 23 kills and 16 digs. Kenzee Dalton had 45 assists.

The Lady Buffs will face Radford in the regional final but the win Thursday night also gives the team a spot in the state playoffs.
