On Tuesday, I noted how most of the summer’s storms have missed us and lamented the lack of rain.

Later in the day a massive storm dumped more than an inch of rain on us in less than 30 minutes, soaking the landscape and leaving our driveway an impassable mass of gullies and washouts.

As the old Chinese adage says: “Be careful what you wish for…you just might get it.”

Wednesday brought another deluge and most of our driveway is probably in Franklin County by now.
