Next round of regional playoffs for the Buffaloes Wednesday night at home

The Buffs appear to be hitting full stride as playoffs continue in Region 2C.

The Floyd County High School Buffaloes head into a Region 2C basketball quarterfinals Wednesday night against Fort Chiswell with second round of home court advantage after a thumping of Appomattox 80-36.

The Buffs overwhelmed the Knights Monday with Kaiden Swortzel scoring 25 points, Tanyan Sutphin back in stride after a wrist injury that sidelined him for much of the season and 10 points from Josiah Banks.

Game time for the Fort Chiswell is 6 p.m. Wednesday.
