Soaking away the worries

Snow is falling as just inches away as I soak in the hot tub and let the pain ooze out of my knees, hips and ankles. Snow? Yes, snow, on the first day of Spring no less, and the talking heads say the rest of the week will be “unseasonable cold,” which is weather speak for freezing our butts off. As usual, “in like a lamb, out like a lion” March lives up to its billing: The warm weather earlier this month spoiled us and brought buds to trees and plants. Now they retreat in horror as a cold front sweeps over our mountains and most of the rest of the East Coast.

But I don’t mind. No really. The water in the tub is an even 100 degrees and my muscles relax after another day of fighting gravity and age.

Life is good. Cold, but good.
